Hardboard is a woody fiberboard that is pressed under high pressure into a flat (smooth) homogeneous plate on one side. Very little glue is used because use is made of the natural binding material (lignin) that is released when the fibers are released. Country of origin is Finland.
The board is lighter in color because of more fires and pine trunks.
